The Rose in Love and Magic

The rose has been the most familiar and enduring symbol of love for centuries.
The Queen of Flowers herself stands for the deepest passions of the human heart
So inseparable is this grand flower from the emotion of love that not
surprisingly roses are presented to a lady love on any number of occasions to
pronounce what is in a man's heart better than if he were a poet.
No profession of love, no Valentyne's Day, no Wedding, indeed no Summer's
day would be complete without them.

Ladies themselves gravitate toward her beauty as it inspires them to
their fullest potential as one who shall be loved. More than beauty
alone the turgid blossoms unfurl with grace and dignity, bejeweled in
prismatic dew drops. Strong and stately stems display a lovely line of
protective thorns, none shall asail her. The scent of a rose conjures
pure joy, her entire being a blessed sight to behold.

Red roses: True Love, Forever, Beauty
Pink Roses: New Love, Gentle Love
White roses: Purity, Virginity, Marriage

Any love spell you design will likely include the rose.
The roses favored for a love spell are pink for romantic love and red for
passionate love and sex. Candles of either of these colours and rose oil or incense.
Rose quartz crystal (heart shaped if you can find it) and petals from your
chosen rose. A red rose for eternal passion and a pink for simple or new love,
if you are not sure how strong the love is between you or how deep you wish things to be.

If you want your love to remember you, add rosemary. It stimulates the mind
and the memory. Take care, if there are bad memories or slights they will also
be remembered. To remedy this use rose (love), rosemary (remembrance) and lavender,
(forgiveness).

Set up your spell, light the incense, anoint the candle with the oil of rose.
Light the candle and speak of the love you desire, asking it to come into your life.
After the candle is burned take the wax, herbs, petals and rose quartz together and
make a sachet to carry with you.

For dreams of the one you will love place fresh rose petals under your pillow.
This is done by men and women equally. For ladies, place dried rose petals
in your drawers and between your sheets to draw love to you.
